Lush: Dark Angels Review

Lush's Dark Angels is a face and body wash/scrub made fresh with rhassoul mud, powdered charcoal, black sugar, avocado oil, sandalwood oil, and rosewood oil.  The mud cleanses, while the charcoal and black sugar deeply clean and scrub your face. Finally the oils smooth and hydrate your skin for great, matte skin. This is mostly made for troublesome skin, acne prone skin, and combination skin types. It is also said to calm and soothe irritated skin and redness.

To use this you take a pea sized amount and make a paste with water, then apply it to your face, neck, and body to deeply clean and mattify your problem areas. Mine are my face, chest, and back. It sloughs off dead skin and make your face feel awesomely clean and hydrated at the same time. It clears up and also dries out my acne, and cleans soo deep it removes black heads and other skin issues.

The scrub on this thing can be kind of harsh on people who are not used to exfoliating their skin a lot, If you used this a couple times a week and use with a gentle hand while putting on your skin you should not have a problem.  if you think it's too harsh you can try Lush's Herbalism, Aqua Marina, or angels on bare skin.

You can also use this on your acne prone skin on your body, as a scrub for your body, and as a facial treatment. I have used this in those ways many times, and cannot wait to re-purchase one again soon as I have finally hit the bottom of mine. which makes me sad. :(( 

I absolutely love this stuff, and will re-purchase often. The smell isn't that great, like charcoal, but I will survive.

Freeman Beauty: Goji Berry Hydration Mask Review

This is a review for Freeman Beauty's goji berry hydration mask. This is a face mask that is designed to hydrate, re-balance and soothe stressed and dehydrated skin. It has Goji berry extract, chamomile extract, and avacado oil in it. I got the travel size of the mask which is .5 oz and is good for 2-4 uses. the price is 2.00$ for a travel size packet.

The interesting thing about this mask is the mask is a gel/cream mixture and you put it on your skin, and it sinks in while your wearing it, then you wash off what is left of the mask and your left with soft and silky skin. It does a really good job at hydrating and balancing your skin.

I would re-purchase this mask in the summer and winter to help sunburnt/sun damaged skin, or wind burnt, chapped skin on your face. It is a great Mask! You have to try if you have dry skin.

Nugg Exfoliating Face Mask

This face mask is from Nugg beauty, and it comes in a little pod filled with the face mask. You can one pod 2-4 times depending on how much you use, I slather them on to get every inch of my skin covered with the face masks for the best benefits. I got 3 uses out of the one pod. This mask is made for combination skin. This mask exfoliates, smooths, and balances your skin. It is also good for acne prone skin, because it exfoliates the dead skin off your acne bumps, smooths them, and hydrates the bumps, so no scars are left behind.  It has cranberry oil, jojoba oil beads, aloe, and grape oil and 93% natural products in it. It cleanses the oily skin and hydrates the dry skin.

to use you wash your face and dry it, then apply the mask on dry skin, and massage for 30 sec. - 1 min. then leave the mask on your skin for 5-10 mins. wash off. enjoy your skin.

I really love this mask and how great it made my skin feel, it even helped with my acne scars and current acne bumps. It made my skin silky smooth, and awesomely hydrated.

These are also great for traveling as the pod contains enough for a few face masks and is 10 ml or .33 fl oz. And you can get them at your local target for 4.00$. Freeman Beauty:Golden Grain Brightening Face Mask Review

This is the Freeman Facial Brightening Mask with Golden Grain. This mask is designed for all skin types leaning toward drier skin and is used for brightening, hydrating, upping moisture and firming.  I got the full size 6 0z. tube for 5.00$ on their direct website. It has vitamin c, banana extract,coconut extract, ginger extract, papaya extract, raspberry extract, and sandalwood extract ( Why? I don't know). This is a normal Leave on for 10-20 mins. then wash off mask.

A weird part of the mask is it has golden flecks in it, which looks cool when it's on your skin, it makes your skin glow. but goes away when you wash it off. I'm not sure if it's the "golden grain" or if it's just pigment put into the mask, but it's a nice little add on.

After washing off the mask my skin did feel firmer, more hydrated, and glowy, like my skin was lit from within. It did lighten my acne scars and spots slightly, and with weekly use it might help more. I loved how plump and firm my skin felt.

This mask gets a B, for how my skin felt. but I could do without it. it's a great treat for a spa night/day at home.

Sephora brand:Rose Eye Mask

I purchased the rose eye mask and two other masks yesterday at Sephora, and they were 6$ each.  The mask is a fiber sheet mask. The eye mask kinda fits wonky on my small eyes, but I made it work out(picture below). I picked the rose mask for hydrating, moisturizing and brightening my under eye area, as I have under eye circles as dark as they come.

As for results after putting on the mask my under eyes were more moisturized, and my skin was toned and plump from the eye mask. There was a slight brightening of my under eye circles, but nothing drastic. It's great for a pick me up, or an at home spa pampering, but I would use with a good eye cream to help lighten dark circles. It would be great for under eye bags as the mask is very cooling and helps your eyes feel refreshed.

Michael Todd True organics: Pumpkin Face Mask

I got this little trial tube in my March birchbox. The march birchbox was a good birchbox for me, I had kinda crappy ones before that, so I was delighted to get this in my box. I have seen many youtube makeup guru's use michael todd product lines and rave about them, and I was very interested in the organic lines because I think less chemicals would help my acne and semi-sensitive skin in the winter.

I have seen the michael todd trial sets, and I want to try the oily/combo/acne skin kit. Which I probably will try once I get a real paycheck. But until then I get to try this face mask, which I actually love!

this face mask has pumpkin and glycolic acid to exfoliate and clean and clear deep down into your pores to maintain clear skin. it also brightens dull skin, and reduces bacteria on the face.

so when I first put this on I was weirded out because it was like literally putting pumpkin pie filling on your face as a face mask, the color is like a pumpkin pie color. But after i got used to the color, the mask started kind of tingling and heating up a bit on my face, which actually felt like a spa treatment to my face. It goes away when it starts drying. Then when I washed it off my skin was glowy, clean, poreless, and soo soo smooth. I love this face mask a lot. I have used it 3 times since I got it, and I will purchase a full size of this mask.

Leaders Insolution Vita bright Sheet Mask

Here is my review/overview of the Leader's Insolution vita bright sheet mask. I got mine from the imomoko.com site which carries asian/korean skincare, makeup, and lifestyle items.

The leader's insolution masks cost about 1.00$ -1.80$ a piece, and you can get a starter pack (to try them all out) for 15$-16$. I picked the vita bright mask because I get freckles when i'm out in the sun and my skin tone has been very uneven. This mask works well for these skin issues.  

This mask claims to even skin tone, brighten skin, smooth skin, and help with dark spots. It has a cottony mask filled with serum to put on your face and let it sit for 20-30 mins. to get the best results. I put this on and watched some youtube videos while waiting for the mask to do it's thing. After the 20-30 mins. I took the sheet mask off and my skin was:

-Smoother. My dry, flaky skin was removed, and my face was very smooth.

- Moisturized. My skin was very moisturized, with no dry skin in sight. 

- Brighter. My skin seemed to have a glow, and seemed brighter. 

- Dark spots were minimized, My acne spots, and freckles were lightened and brightened to where you almost couldn't see them. They still are today, when i'm writing this.

Overall this face mask worked very well on my skin, and made my skin look wayyy better, then what it did before, I am in love with this mask so far, and will definitely repurchase these in bulk.

Otaku Whitening Sheet Mask

Here is the otaku Whitening sheet mask . I wrote what each one was because it was in unreadable (to me) Korean, Chinese, or Japanese.  i used this last week after using another whitening mask to tone down my freckles from the sun and the unevenness in my skin. 

This sheet mask has a film cover on it to keep the mask moist, and shaped. The leaders insolution doesn't have this, it just has the mask. So you have to peel the plastic off the face mask and try not to rip the sheet mask. (I'm clumsy!) I succeeded in getting it on without ripping it, until i went to fix it to pull it higher on my forehead. I put it back in place and it was fine. 

I left the mask on for 20-30 mins. while i read, and watch youtube gurus.When I took it off my skin was glowy, moisturized, and my freckles and acne scars were diminished. I personally like the leader's insolution one better, but this will do. They both do the same thing, and I got the results I wanted (knowing you can't erase them totally). I would use this if I didn't have the leader's mask, and I would give it a great review. 

This gets a B+ - A-

Otaku Acne Care Sheet Mask

Here is my review for the otaku acne sheet mask. I got mine from imomoko.com in a sample pack that was 11.00$ This one is the acne mask, and I wrote the name/function on it, because I cannot read the Korean, Japanese or Chinese. The mask comes with a plastic sheeting on the mask to keep it moist, and shaped. You do have to be careful with these masks because they are very easy to rip/break them.

I chose this mask because I was just getting my period and I had a few breakouts pop out of my skin, and it was pissing me off. I did have blackheads, and a few acne spots on my skin, and acne scars and redness. I put this mask on my skin and left it on for 15-20 mins.

After the mask was done, my skin was smooth, moisturized, and my blemishes and acne spots were diminished. It wasn't  a huge turn out, but it was enough to help my acne shrink, and my acne spots were lighter too. It also helped with my excess sebum/oil in my t- zone area. My blackheads were cleaned out and my pore were looking great.

Otaku Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Sheet Mask

This is a review for the Otaku Hyaluronic acid hydrating sheet mask. This is a hydrating, moisturizing, and soothing sheet mask with hyaluronic acid. I decided to use this sheet mask because I had dry, dehydrated, sun burnt skin from not wearing enough sunscreen this weekend camping. 

My skin was even dry on my t-zone, so that means I needed a boost of moisture to get me through the day. 

I put the mask on and let it sit for 20-30 mins. 

 And afterward,the mask gave my skin lots of moisture without bringing oilyness. I had a big spot of flaky dry patches on my forehead and it was gone after the mask. I also had a sunburn on my nose and upper face area and it was diminished and hydrated when the mask was taken off. My skin was hydrated, smooth, and glowy. My skin felt baby soft and plump, and my dry patches were gone. I love this mask, and will use it in the winter to deeply moisturize my skin weekly.

Leaders Insolution TeaTree Relaxing Sheet Mask

I tried this mask about a week ago, I had pre-menstrual acne flare up around my chin and nose and a few spots on my cheek.So I pulled out this Leader's Insolution sheet mask to put my acne at bay. It has Tea Tree Oil in it which is known for antibacterial and acne clearing properties. It also has a skin soothing and smoothing effect to it. This is great for blackheads, white heads, cystic acne, hormonal acne, and acne scars. Which I get all of this. 

I let this mask sit on my skin for a bit longer then recommended (30 mins.) as I needed the most benefit of it for my skin. After I peeled the mask off my skin was a lot better.  If I could recommend a great asian sheet mask, this one is perfect and I will buy in bulk, I Love this soo much. 

My skin was smoother, More evened out, and my acne was diminished. The redness on or around my acne was gone, and my spots weren't as sore as before. My acne scars were lightened a bit, and my pores looked great. It also balanced out my oil production a bit, which I liked. 

This mask gets an A+++ 

Love it soo much. Have you tried this, because you should! If you have oily skin, acne prone skin.
